flashing docking lights

Hello all, New to this forum after several years reading your posts. On my "New to us" 2005 American Tradition, after replacing the chassis batterys, every thing seemed good. However after starting the engine I noticed the docking light switch was flashing as well as the actual docking lights. They flash 29 times, then there is a few seconds of no flash then it starts all over again. always the same number of flashes, leading me to believe it is a code for something. I have no idea where to find info explaining the code, therefore I am asking for help as someone, possibly several of you have experienced this problem before.
I have a 40 foot American tradition, 2005 year.
Spartan chassis. 370 HP Cummins

Not sure but if you have the Remote Key Fob setup that has the built in alarm this can control the lights like the docking lights. I want to say in an alarm condition it can flash the lights. It is suppose to flash once for Locked and three flashes for unlocked. If you have the siren you should also hear a chirp (sometimes these sirens die from moisture and dry rubber).

TriMark is the company that supplies the controller that does this. On many American Coaches they are under the entry steps.

You could have a failing controller or in many cases (even on mine) dirt, sand, etc. falls in the controller housing and makes quite the mess. You would need to remove the controller then remove it from the housing and clean it really well with electronics cleaner. The reassemble.

The 29 flashes seems too exact for it to be a bad automatic reset breaker but you never know.

Good luck!

Thank you. Never thought of that as my coach has the siren disconnected. I will look when I get home. I sure hope that is the problem, even though I will feel stupid if it is.

Thank you gjames50. That was the problem. Obviously if the siren was still hooked up, I would not have had this problem. Oh well, that one is behind us. On to the next, hopefully a while down the road.
