Fleetwood Coronado Transfer Switch

Hello fellow Coronado Owners, I have a 1994 Coronado 32G with a faulty Transfer Switch that is not switching from shore power to the generator when shore power is disconnected. I located the Transfer Switch above the refrigerator, but cannot pull out the RV Electrical Control Center Model 80 (which has the Transfer Switch mounted on the back) because the wiring to the Control Center seems to be very short. Has anyone serviced their Transfer Switch and if so how did you get it out? I also want to confirm if the Automatic Transfer Switch is a Parallax Power Supply model ATS301? I found the following video: https://youtu.be/5v39FQmlDxk that has the identical RV Electrical Control Center Model 80 that is mounted in a 1991 Fleetwood Bounder upper cabinet. In this video the wiring is long enough to pull out the Control Center and has a Parallax ATS301 Transfer Switch mounted on the back. I would really appreciate if someone can suggest how to get the Control Center out and confirm the Transfer Switch is a Parallax ATS301. THANK YOU!!

How it works is that when you plug into shore power, nothing happens to the ATS, it's in it's normal, unpowered position. Power is passed to the house via the NORMALLY CLOSED contacts on the ATS. Now, if you start the generator, when it comes up to speed if things pas the checks, then power is applied to two circuit breakers on the generator. If those are both closed, power goes to the contacts on the ATS AND to the coil of the ATS, which closes the NORMALLY OPEN contact. Once those ATS contacts close, the generator power can come from it, to the house. When shore power is plugged in, power goes to the Normally Closed contacts of the ATS...it's not operating unless the coil for the ATS gets power from the generator.

So first thing I'd recommend is that you check that the 2 breakers on the generator are closed. Disconnect shore power, start the gen, check those 2 breakers, check inside to see what happens. If you get power, then the ATS contacts are okay on that side.

Fleetwood Coronado Transfer Switch

I have checked the circuit breakers and they are both on. I have power running from the Onan Marquis 7000 generator to the junction box under the bed and confirmed there is power at the breaker panel. The problem is the Coronado sat for many years without being used when I was severely ill. I know the Transfer Switch is stuck on Shore power and need to find a way of getting it out to repair or replace the Transfer Switch. I may remove the fridge roof vent to see why the Transfer Switch is refusing to come out as shown in the 1991 Bounder video. Perhaps the wiring to the ATS is secured with staples? Surely Fleetwood would have provided enough slack in the wiring to permit servicing the ATS without having to disconnect all the wiring connections inside the breaker/fuse panel. Thank you for responding to my plea for help!
