Fleetwood Discovery running hot.
Left Ohio Sunday morning. Today this afternoon I noticed the temperature gage up and down with the Hills. High temperature alert beeped one time. Backed off from 65 to 60 and did OK but still on the high side. It was in the 90's today. Do I have a problem?
Or is this the nature of a pusher that can't breathe well? Unit is an 08 Fleetwood discovery 14,000 miles.
Help!
Thanking do you guys in advance [emoji1374]

Probably would not hurt to wash out the radiator. Diesel pusher move tremendous amounts of air and it is not the "clean" air that a front mounted radiator gets. Look around the radiator grille for some sort of fasteners that hold it in place. Remove them and open the grille and see what is in there. Leaves, paper, pine needles, plastic and just general road trash is pretty common in them. Then wash it out or blow it out with air. Some people use engine cleaner also.
Good Luck
Don

Cummins/Freightliner say annual or 7,500 miles for cleaning of a rear rad.

Have a friend with a 2007 Revolution that started heating up under loads or very hot days. Tried everything, changed hoses, water pump, and flushed radiator with no help. Checked for blown head gasket. Replaced sending unit and gauge and finally ordered a new radiator. When they removed the old radiator, pink slime oozed from the radiator inlet. After much investigation it was determined that at his last service the dealer had topped the antifreeze with a solution that wasn't compatible with the existing antifreeze The two coolants reacted with each other and formed the slime that was too thick to flush from the radiator. He had the radiator boiled in an acid solution at a radiator shop and that finally got rid of the slime. Solved his overheating problem.

Sounds like a definite rad clean in your future and keep the RPM's 1800-2000 for max cooling effect. If you lug it down, it will overheat.

There is quite a bit of info on this very issue just by searching for overheat issues with the 6.7 ISB.
My symptoms are nearly the same...started out just running hot, but now can't run over 60mph (1750rpm) without overheating.
My problem has been diagnosed as a bad fan clutch which I will attempt to replace next week. PN HOR 9905002 is $661 from Freightliner (Cummins can't help you on this as they didn't install it). I have heard others pay over $1200 for part and labor.
