Fleetwood Fiesta 33L

I have a 2008 Fleetwood Fiesta 33L That is equipped with a Steer safe steering system. I was changing the oil the other day and was inspecting the Steer safe system. I noticed that all the locking nuts on the eye bolts holding the springs were only about half way up the threads. The systems was installed by a RV garage for the previous owner about two years before I bought it. I have owned this motorhome for about a year and have not noticed any steering issues But I was wondering if the locking nuts should be tightened to the end of the thread.

It seems that, initially, the eye bolts should be tight against the end of the threads, but then backed off to adjust for straight ahead steering.

If your not having any pull in the steering, leave it be.Click image for larger version
