We just removed all of ours (2015 Discovery) and there was screws on L brackets behind the day/night shades. Coming straight up from the bottom with a long extension on the grill to get to some of them.

I did find a couple with different L brackets and some sheetrock screws and some small nails .... But we did but used and not sure if it was the previous owner.

I am in process of recovering ours. Youíll need a long & short Phillips screwdriver or a drill with a long driver attachment. Remove the ďLĒ brackets at the bottom of the valances. Remove the shade pulley screws. Go to the top inside and remove 2 screws attached to the shade inside the valance. Next there will be 2 screws attaching the valance to a cabinet, remove them. Your valance is free.

Patience!

Our 2007 Fleetwood Excursion has a screw at the end of each side of the valance hidden behind the upholstery. You can feel the head of the screw through the material. At the top, there are two screws behind the shade that go straight up into the frame. I got to them by raising the shade and using a long screwdriver. Hope this helps.
