Fleetwood Storage, air bags and leveling jacks

Today I had a Blue Ox Stabilizer and Billstein shocks installed. When the installer was done he suggested I do not let out the air in the air bags when storing or camping. He suggested to just use the auto level and leave the air in the bags to eliminate possible air bags getting stressed/compressed.

I always thought you park, deflate the air bags and set the levels when camping/staying in the RV. When not staying inside deflate the air bags and leave it at that.

Is this a good suggestion? If so, I have been doing it wrong

Thanks

I've only had my rig a few months. I always let the air out when I get to the camp site before leveling. I store it with the air in.

If mine sits without starting or the like for a period of time they deflate on their own. I guess some coaches do not stay full up which I find strange.

I believe mine stay up but might be wrong about that one. I always let the air out.

I've left the air in the air bags if parked next to curb (or other objects) so the steps do not hit he curb. With the levers down they should relieve some of the bag strain on them sitting.

My coach automatically dumps the suspension air when the Autolevel button is activated, but if you have a manual dump switch, the choice is yours. Dumping air gets the coach body lower and make entry and exit easier. That's all.

But there is no need to be concerned about protecting the air bags when leveling. The system is designed to be deflated and inflated, and nothing is going to break or wear out prematurely.
