Fleetwood Switch Replacement Ideas
I've been trying to find replacement switches for my '08 Fleetwood.
Knocking my head against the wall and exhausted hours online searching and it seems they're obsolete and can't find anything that fits the plate opening.
Has anybody done a retro fit for these switches? I'd love to see some pics of your solution.
I hate to build a complete new plate and switch configuration but I don't see any success in finding these original switches.
I can find plenty of replacement plates, but no switches.
I haven't gone the salvage yard route..... yet.
I have a feeling they're aged to the point they're brittle, discolored and break easily.
TIA

JR switch 13355, spst, Explosive Powersports. Not exactly the same switch but close and it fits the backing plate.
NOTE: These original switches are obsolete according to JR. Re-ordered five from Grainger, Carling 3xc58. Black, but only switch I could find that fit the cutout. (Also DPDT). I spray painted them to match the others.
I bought 120 of the original switches on Ebay and sold them off over two years. They came with backing plates.
If you do a search of images on Ebay, you might see one to buy.

Have you tried contacting REV group parts dept.? When I needed a couple of items that were discontinued/obsolete for my '07 Expedition, they had direct fit replacements. All they need is your VIN to cross reference what they call Legacy parts to the new replacements.

Yes... Online looks like black switches are available..

By all means contact them. I was able to buy a parts from them easily. The girls in the office are super helpful. As stated, have with the VIN or your Build number.

2006 Tioga Step/Entry Switch
I have a similar issue, but for a 2006 Fleetwood Tioga 31M.
I believe the Step/Entry switch is bad, but I don't know how to test it. It appears to be a DPDT switch, with a couple of tabs missing, but the configuration is odd. Top/middle tabs on the left, which seems normal enough, but the right side is connected to the top/bottom, which doesn't seem like it would do anything, unless it's not a regular DPDT switch. Does anyone know what this switch is and how it should work (i.e., how I would test it)?
The Fleetwood website says they have a replacement part, but it's out of stock and doesn't when they'll have it back . . .

I went to Visone RV yesterday and got a light switch for my rig. Told them what I needed and the year & model of coach. He pulled up pictures and I pointed to the correct one. Parts runner got it off the shelf. I was impressed.
They have more broken rigs there than I ever hope to see again, but parts is parts. They had a front cap getting ready to ship out in the yard.
Go to www.visonerv.com and search. They respond pretty quickly to emails and answer the phone. They might not be cheap (my switch was $50) but if you can't find what you need anywhere else...

I would think $50 is more than reasonable being it is obsolete. They don't make them anymore.
