Flooring

We have an 03 Excursion with what I thought was some sort of tiles in kitchen area and bathroom Well it is not tiles but a board with tiles on it like paneling with a tile face.

The problem is it is under the cabinets and shower. Anyone ever tackled this before with any suggestions? Remove all the base cabinets??? I will take some photos and post them for all to look at and have a good laugh as I pull my hair out ( what is left anyway.

Thanks

Get a toe-kick saw. I had a Harbor Freight one then sold it on Craigslist when I was done. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-38-i...q=toe+kick+saw

They are tricky to use without damaging the adjoining edge so good luck. Maybe hammer and chisel if you don't have a lot to do. Then trim up with a dremel tool?

Just an update

Okay as I get further into this I see what a blast I am in for. That being said, it appears that they put 1/8 panel sheets under the laminate. I will assume that it is for the build up to match the tack strips for the surrounding carpet.

So as usual one job has now turned in to three others. Hahaha. I will need to replace the shower stall ( because we hate it and it is really in the way) Next is the toilet as also we hate it and hate that base thing they had under it... No idea why? But it is gone now as the shower is now down to the tub part removed the toilet flange from the black tank and moving forward...Will add some more photos later
