Not really- I got under there and matched the exterior of the wire on mine to 12 gauge.Remember its fused and driven by a Relay in my panel.
Never been a problem and I drive all the time Day and Night with them on.--- I want to be seen at all times.
My lights are different than yours- Perlux Truck Style Fog/Driving Lights-- My actual bulb is an H9405 Sealed Beam Type 100,000 Candle Power ea.
If your changing the bulbs from 50 watt H series to 100 watts H series 12 gauge wire will work fine.

I believe your unit has heavy wiring for the fog lights that mine does. I believe mine to have 14 gauge wires run to the original fog lights. They have a circuit breaker of 30 amps in back of the dash for the fog lights.

If I want brighter bulbs I may have to go a different route.

I will put some night driving in before I make that decision.

I Install Hella FF75 Fog Lights in place of the LEDs and I like them more than the LEDs. I just wish they were a little brighter.

A set of driving lights would really be nice.

NOTE.
Do not miss the Install of the Hella FF75 Fog Lights talked about above
