Fresh water tank valve

Just bought a new 2012 jamboree dsl 24l
And to empty my fresh water tank is quite an exercise.i have to remove the last and drawer and can't really see but have to drive my hand through different hose then reach access to the valve. And the deception is that when I open my storage door under it there is a hole to let the water out. Why they didn't put the control valve there??

The 28Z is just as tough to reach through the basement. I can only reach it with my fingertips!

I'm sure the placement of the valve was done by an engineer that never had to turn a valve, just push buttons on a CAD program. They might also claim it was to prevent winter freeze up of the water line. I'd go to my local Home Depot, buy some pex water line, a couple of sharkbite fittings and a shut off valve to move the drain valve to a more convenient and usable location!
