Frustrated!
Hello, I'm a new member seeking some guidance. I recently bought a new 2017 Fleetwood Bounder 35k and have some concerns about the warranty. We have 3 very noticeable humps raising up in our floor. The dealer we took it to to get the warranty work just called me and said Fleetwood would not cover this because floor movement is normal. He could not believe they actually said that. It is so severe that my floor tiles are popping up. I have about 4000 miles on it and it still easily falls under the warranty window. Has anyone had this problem? I am going to call the Fleetwood warranty manager tomorrow and raise some hell. I spent a fortune on this rig and now I doubt anyone would buy it if they saw the floor. Sorry to rant, I'm just extremely frustrated because I love the coach. It is our dream rig! Hopefully not a bad dream

Hi. Just checking to see if your levelers work. Do they make a horrible sound when setting up? We had similar issue and it was our levelers. Have they looked at that?

My levelers were not getting me very level without going to manual mode, but they looked at them. These humps are run right down the middle of the coach. Probably where the seem is

Interesting. I think they had to look at ours twice. The first time they said they were fine but they weren't. The dealer thought they might be ok and then they had it taken to the manufacturer and they replaced/fixed them.

Take a couple of pictures with a 4' level or straight edge parked
on top of the humps. That should make discussing them with the powers that be much simpler.

That is what my local service guy did and it really showed them nicely. I just can't believe they would deny this since it is obviously a defect of some kind.

Who is "they"? Have you spoken with a factory service rep yourself?

If I can offer some advice, raising hell with FW is not the route I would go (or went). You will get more with honey than you will with vinegar IMO.
Call the customer service line for FW/REV - 800-322-8216 Have your unit number when you call.
Speak to them and document the issue. Send pics. Discuss calmly what the dealer did and attempted. Get the name of the person who denied the warranty claim. You may have to nudge them a little but in the end they do the right thing.
Do you have access to a service center? If you do I highly highly highly recommend going directly there.
I believe FW will fix whatever problem you indicate. Pics are your friends. I am speaking of first hand experience. Many others will concur on this also.
Let us know how it goes

This has been an ongoing issue for fleetwood and they are aware that they have an issue. The humps appear where the subfloor in is jointed. We even had fleetwood engineers out to look at an issue at the dealership I worked for and fleetwood has recently changed the way they build the floor. Yours probably just missed getting the new floor design. I have had the same issue on my 14 since new and fleetwood was made aware of the problem and said they will fix it under warranty. This was two years ago and at the time I could not leave the coach for repair. They told me no problem that it was noted in my file and whenever I got around to it, they would handle. Obviously I originally thought I would handle it much sooner, know that it's been 2 years I'm not so sure they will still do it but it really isn't that big an issue and hasn't bothered me much. If I get around to going to the factory for something else I will see if they will still repair it. Their solution at the time was to put down another layer of underlayment and then put new vinyl over it with quarter round where it meets the cabinets

Noting you are from MI at least part time I would also check with them in Decatur. I've had good experiences at their factory service there. Granted I've got a different REV product but they have fixed some items I had not even noticed while preforming service for me and also fixing some minor items under warranty. May or may not help with your problem but what is there to lose esp. if you get appointment for when you would be nearby anyhow.

It amazes me that this has been an ongoing issue and here I am with a 2017 model and it still isn't resolved.

Not the best idea. Raising hell will likely get you nowhere. That will put them on the defensive from the start. You will get little to no help. As has been suggested, you will do yourself a lot more good by calling and discussing the issue in a civil, business-like manner. I have been on that end of the conversation when I worked for one of the big 3 automakers. Trust me, when someone started off with an attitude, and raising hell with me, they usually didn't get very much. I have asked them if they think that acting that way is supposed to make me want to help them more.

I took the advice from you guys about not raising hell right out of the gates. I spoke with a lady today from Fleetwood and told her my concerns and just basically how I would like the problem fixed. She is bringing this to another group to discuss and will get back to me. My fingers are crossed
