Furnace runs when turned off

Have an older (98) PA. The other evening I was walking the dog behind the coach when I heard something odd. The rear furnace was running even though the thermostat switch was turned off. Working the switch didn't shut it off. Turning on the air conditioner made them both run at the same time. Turning off the AC and dropping the thermostat down to 55 degrees shut off the furnace.
While checking the Intellitec control box (under the refrigerator) I heard a sporadic clicking or buzzing sound from either that or another adjacent box (not sure what that one is yet). Consulting diagrams I had from Fleetwood didn't help. Finally unplugged the 'rear heat' plug from the Intellitec and that stopped the furnace. However, the sporadic buzzing remains. Any suggestions?

Was the furnace kicking out hot air, or was it just the blower running?

had somewhat similar noise on my 99 PA (control box over the fridge) turned out was a loose hot wire connection in a wire nut. my rear furnace would also run without being turned on, found the problem to be a small leak in the shower stall (heater was under the stall) that was getting the control board wet. hope this helps.

95% of the time we found it was in the Intellitec Electronic Climate Control in the bedroom. Waiter21 on this forum has a replacement control board to fix this problem. Also the relay chatter is the giveaway to this problem. When I was service manager I had good luck with turning off all 12 volt power to the coach and quickly working the selector switches up and down. This seems to clean the contacts. Do this about three times. Do the selector up and down about a dozen times each.

Bumped the thermostat switch back and forth several times this morning, then reattached the 'heat' plug on the control box. Rear furnace didn't start by itself. Tested the front furnace. It started OK. Everything seems good for the moment...thanks for the suggestions.
