Thumbs up General RV Experience

Last year I bought a Terra 31c SE from the General RV outside of Dover FL, it's about 120 ml from were I live. They took care of the problems I had in a timely manner. They had been sent the wrong parts for the front power shade and a relay to control the TV lock out switch. They instead took the correct parts I needed off a for sale model on the sales lot. I am very satisfied with their service. I will go back again. I also took pictures of the areas I felt needed their attention, I numbered the pictures and an explanation of what and were the problem was. That way we were both talking about the same thing.

It's great to hear a good story when it comes to sales/service.

General RV outside of Dover FL did what they all should be doing!

I picked up my MH at General by Plant City Fl and their people were great. The Service Dept people did everything I ask them to do and made sure to document things that they were unable to do so I wouldn't any problems later.

This was 1600 miles from my home dealer and they new I wouldn't be back but they treated me like a loyal customer.

My daughter and her husband bought a new TT from General Rv at the Tampa show last year. They were insistent that they did not want the model at the show and were assured that was no problem as they had 4 more at the lot. Well guess what we they went to pick it up, it was the show model as they had no others of that model in their entire system, oops! They did bargain down on that unit but it was like pulling teeth. The walk-thru was done by a competent person who was obviously in a hurry until I made him slow down explaining that they were a young couple with little experience in RV's and needed a thorough explanation of every feature and function.
General had not installed the electric jack as was negotioated in the purchase and wanted them to come back to get it installed. My daughter said no, so they did sent a young man out to install it, which he did competently but he told me that he had only been at General for a week. He previously had worked at a BMW dealership but got tired of "grumpy owners", I just laughed.

Now they have had it back for small warranty items and everything was handled promptly and fixed first time around.

Not to take this thread into another direction but I have a couple cracked trim pieces on my defroster ducts. After a quick search I found a Fleetwood RV dealer in my state. Wilkin's RV in Churchville NY.
I sent an E-Mail to the dealership asking if the trim pieces were available. In a very short time I got a response back from Kayla who is a parts specialist. She requested I send a picture of the piece I needed so she could assure herself she was looking for the correct piece. This I did and within a short time Kayla E-Mailed me back stating she had found the parts in a warehouse and gave me the price. She even sent me her picture of the part for my confirmation.
I have ordered the parts, they will be shipped directly to me to save double shipping charges and I should see them within a week.
I live 125 miles from that dealership but I was treated like I was their best customer. Who knows, I might turn out to be.
