Generator Problem

Now that I have current going to the coach am having trouble with the running of the generator itself. It will run great for about 5 minutes then it starts popping thru the carb. Oil and filter changed plugs cleaned and gapped fuel pump output good new filter. Is this a common problem?

Better carry an extra one. Our last coach we bought it new in 2005 had a 5500 the fuel pump went out driving it home from the dealer. I went to Napa auto parts bought an inline fuel pump. Had that coach 10 years with no problems.

intake valves /// lash is to tight, as it warms up they stay open a splt second..
compression pops back thru carb..

I had an onan 4000 that did it. I adjusted all per spec and it has been fine..

ign or carb issue can do it but...

That's to everyone who posted on my problem, all it took was a valve adjustment it runs the way it should now. Once again thanks.
