Generator problems

Have a 2013 Tradition with a 11000w generator with a mind of it's own. For no reason the generator came on twice in 10 minutes. I disconnected the controller and it came on again. The only to stop it is at the generator stop switch. This happened a few months ago and the only to stop it was to stop hit at the generator. I thought I needed a new controller at $300 a pop, but now I don't know. Help me. I hate this automatic stuff and I would love to get it out of my system.

There have been reports of water intrusion into the start/stop wiring connectors to the generator causing "ghost starts" like you describe. It might be worth cleaning the connections.
