Generator Question on 2004 Bounder 35B

Hello Friends.

Generator Question. We are learning the ins and outs of our New for Us 2004 Bounder Class A.

If I want to use my Generator for power source while driving or parked, the owners manual said to plug your power cord into the outlet in the generator or generator area.

Can any one confirm the outlet I would plug the shore power cord into for this application.

Thank you all for your responses.

Yes. We have the same problem with our New/used National Tropical. To use the Generator the cord that is used to plug into shore power needs to be plugged into a 50a outlet fed by the generator. There is no switching system like we had on our cheap assed Coachmen Mirada. Doesn't make sense but I guess the original buyer decided he didn't need an automatic switching system. Since the outlet is in the cord storage compartment it is not really a problem. It will only be a problem when out notoriously undependable South Florida electric grid takes it's almost daily powder during the thunderstorm. We will then have to go outdoors in the rain and move the plug to the Genny. I might buy a switching system. like this

Thank you Kahoona. As it turned out, we don’t have a manual switch over but have an auto switch from shore power to generator power.
