The fuel pumps are not dependable as of late. Not sure how far it goes back but onan had problems with their fuel pumps. I had one go bad the day I bought the motorhome and the replacement went bad soon there after. Yes there is a fuel filter before the pump. I carry an extra fuel pump because this is such a prevalent problem. We seem to have found a good one this time. Haven't had the shutting down/fuel pump issue in a couple years now.

I managed to get mine running but not perfectly. Tried Berrymans instead of the generic carb cleaners and that seems to have helped. When parked I can run 1 AC unit now but not both, it still stalls shortly after I turn on the second AC. The weird thing is...it stalls consistently when driving. I can run it for hours (with 1 AC) when parked but if we are moving it stalls within minutes. I'm still thinking about replacing the carb. I may try another cleaning first.

Hello I'm new to this site and RVing. Just bought my first RV a few weeks ago, I did test the generator many time when I bout it and It was works good but only for several seconds, Today I run the generator and after 1 minutes it stop working, I checked the generator fuel pump and disconnected the fuel pipe that deliver the fuel from the tank into the generator, I discover there is no any fuel comes from the tank? I test the pump by add another external pipe and I use a funnel to add the fuel into the new pipe and all the way into the generator, then the generator start works. Any advise If some can help and let me to know if there is additional fuel pump in the fuel tank that use to pump the fuel from the tank into the generator or the generator furl pump will sucking the fuel from the tank and pump it into the generator? I need to know where is the problem, Please any advise?

Did he run the generator at least an hour a month under half load while stored? That is the usual requirement in the manuals.

Have you checked fuel output inside the gen? Disconnect the rubber fuel line right before it enters the carburetor.
FW specs out that 2 fuel pumps can run off the same oem circuit, so that's what I did and it seems to work. I ran a 10ga wire to the rear aux. pump to lessen voltage loss.

I did checked the fuel pipe that deliver the fuel from the Generator fuel pump into the carburetor, there is no any fuel inside, but after I did connect an external pipe and add fuel by the funnel the fuel comes again into this pipe and the generator start.
Can you please send me a picture or give me more details about where the OEM circuit located to let me to give a direct 12 V into it and checked the pumps.
Again my question is this Bounder has one fuel pump that inside the generator only or it has another backup fuel pump inside the RV fuel tank?
