Question Glass Shower Walls & Door Removal?

I have a 2003 Storm, 31-A and I hate the small (I'm a big boy) door opening to the shower.

Has anyone removed the glass walls and door and just put a shower curtain in on one of those angled rods? I know, sounds tacky, but I think it would be a lot easier for me to get in and out of the shower without that small (for me) opening......

Sounds like a plan. Can you post a photo for a more detailed evaluation?

That half a hexagon shape doesn't look easy to replace with a curtain. That's why I asked you to post a photo. Hopefully someone can offer a solution.

Yes, that's what I was worried about too.....I could have one custom built......maybe....will think about that....I don't know how the glass walls are attached to the base and walls either...

Don't forget ( I know you didn't ) you have to be able to tuck the bottom edge into enclosure to prevent a flood. EEK

Try this out for size ( pardon the pun ) . Leave the glass wall by the sink intact and remove the other two glass panels leaving the top metal frame.Brace the unsupported frame to the ceiling and then run your curtain along that frame. Whadaya think

Its an awkward set-up to try and fit that shower rod into. I think the though of having that extra room is easier than actually fitting the thing. I would seriously think about getting a consult with an RV business like a CW world tech and figure out if it can be done. "Measure twice, cut once".
