Cool Hankook Tire Opinions

Seems like tires are talked about often.

Are Hankooks just as good as any other brand out there? We put about ~5,000 miles a year on our coach. We have a '14 Discovery 40X with a scale weight of 31,000lbs, of that 11,500 being front axle, 19,500 rear axle. I am a member of FMCA and I like the deal you can get on the Hankooks.

We currently have Good Year G670 and have had zero issues with them over the last few years. However, their build date is 2013, so they must be replaced after putting 58,000 miles on them.

Any input would be great, I have also seen the other brands but is there enough difference between them to justify the wide price difference?

Drive over to any truck stop. Walk around and see what the class 8 people have on the fronts. Hankook has been a very good tire mfg for many many years. Federal regs say OTR trucks can have caps on the drivers, but stear tires must be new

use Hankook on my 99 Pace and loved them some people say they have a harder ride because of more belts but I am not sensitive enough to notice the difference. I liked the extra belts because I had less sway/roll with side winds, passing trucks etc.

You are absolutely correct in replacing the Badyears with Hankook's or any other tire make. It's time. I can't speak from experience with Hankook's, I ride on Toyo's, but whatever tire you choose stay away from Badyear tires.

I have had Hankooks on my 40 foot diesel pusher for over a year with no issues. I replaced Michelin tires and cannot see a difference in ride and they handle well. I was able to beat the FMCA price for installed and balanced tires at a local truck tire dealer. You might want to check around for a better price.

I have Hankooks AH10 on my 34ft Bounder since we purchased it in 2014

Have had zero issues. It is now time to replace them and I am looking at Toyo and Hankook.
