Has anyone replaced their lights with LED?
In my 05 rev, there are fluorescent strips through out, and I am wondering if anyone has changed these out for LED strips instead?
I also saw bulbs someplace that fit the fluorescent strip at the ends, but are LED in the middle.

I'm not a fan of LED lights, I think the light they give off is harsh, bright to look at, but do not through much light into the area to be lite.
My 97 Dream as the old style mini bulb strips through out. many of the bulbs are burnt out and this summer will be looking into replacing the strips with new ones and hope to find and use the same type of mini bulb strips. I like the color hue the bulb troughs (a soft glow) and they do a good job of creating a soft general light.
This is definitely a taste choice so if you like the LED light you should go for it.

Multiple Threads
If you use the search function you'll find hundreds of posts in this forum relating to DIY LED conversions.
I converted our RV floresents and several interior/exterior lights to LED over a year ago.
LEDs come in a variety of sizes, shapes & colors. I've converted all of the most used lights in our sticks & bricks house to LED and am more than happy with them. The light is brighter and stays 'on color' when dimmed better than the old bulbs. I replaced 5 75w can lights with 5 11w LED PAR lamps. At full brightness that's a power savings of 320 watts.

I've replaced all my F15T8 and F8T5 fluorescents with Revolution and Ming brand led tubes from rvledbulbs.com. I am very happy with them. For the twin tube F15T9 fixtures, I used just one led tube each and still have at least as much light as the two fluorescents tubes gave. And they last forever. I was replacing fluorescent bulbs every year - they don't hold up well if switched on/off dozens of times daily - but the leds don't care.

Cool, thanks for the lead!! I'm going to try a couple if these bulbs! They seem very efficient.

Do these replacement tubes require rewiring of fixture? Does not seem to be much information on rvledbulbs.com.

There is actually a brief document showing exactly what is done, with photo. I documented my own install and sent it to them, and the owner asked if he could post it on his site. Of course!
It is called Fluorescent LED Wiring Tips and I see it is now linked only from the Revolution F15T8 page. Used to be on the main page for the tube products, but I guess it got squeezed off. The installation for the Ming F15T8 and also the smaller F8T5's are identical.

The short answer is Yes, you clip the 12v wire to the ballast and splice that to the wire on the led tube. The negative side of the tube wire clips onto the on/off switch, or splices into the negative wire if there is no switch.
