headlamp issue

I'm looking for advice on a headlamp issue on a 1993 Bounder on a Oshkosh chassis. The low beams are very dim, the high beams are normal so I don't think it's a ground issue. I think the p.o. rewired the headlamps because all 4 lamps are high/low beams (all 4 lamps are on and all 4 have high beam) and I don't think that was factory. I'm starting to think I need to rewire the headlamps but can't wind a diagram. Any one have/had an early 90s Bounder that can confirm that it should have only 2 lamps on low and 4 on high? If that's how Fleetwood built them than?

Thanks Todd.

Sounds like the PO changed bulbs for more light. My son did that and determined it was necessary to add an additional relay for them to work properly. Just back trace the wiring for an additional relay.

There are 2 relays. 1 runs 4 low and 1 runs 4 high. it seams to be wired properly for what they were trying to achieve but for some reason the low beams are very dim. I wonder if it was dim and that was the inspiration for 4 low lamps?

It sounds like maybe the low beam relay isn't working correctly and not passing enough voltage through to the lamps. If all four are dim, that would be my guess. Try switching out the relays just to see if that cures the problem. If so just replace it.

I have a 2002 --32H Bounder and I've had that problem with the low beams. I couldn't find any relays so I wired another switch on the dash and connected the low beams to this switch. The hi beams work fine. I don't know where the relays are physically located. If I have them I would try to reverse the relays. I may have a bad switch on the steering column. I don't know how much work is involved to change this switch.I've changed the head light switch which powers both head lights. I could change this switch to a double pole so that I could change from low to high and bypass the column switch. Here's my schematic. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I hope that the schematic comes thru.
