Heat in Southwind

I recently bought a 2008 Southwind 35A It has 2 AC's and I get both Zone 1 and Zone 2 on the thermostat and get cold air both front and rear. But I only seem to get heat in the rear, none in the front. Of course, if I turn on the propane heat we get toasty. Do both A/C units also have heat or is that an option, and if an option, how do I know if I have electric heat?

Our Bounder has a heat pump in the rear a/c unit, but not in the front unit. It is obvious on the thermostat because Zone 2 (the rear) shows "electric heat" but Zone 1 just shows gas heat (the furnace).
