You say that like most DP owners change the size of their tires at the earliest convenience !

It's common to have a different 'BRAND' of tire on there as opposed to what left the factory, but not the size!

If you look at tire charts, pretty much all 295/80 tires, will carry the same weight, at each psi, whether it be a Michelin, Toyo, Goodyear, etc.

Not really. You don't have to change the size to have a different tire pressure requirement. If I bought Michelin and the same size tire speced on the placard, 275/70 the only tire I see on the chart is a J rated tire. My placard in my coach specs an H rated tire. The placard also specs a pressure for the maximum axle rating installed...not the actual weight on the axle.

My point about not paying attention to the placard was more pointed towards the ACTUAL weight on the axle and using the chart to set that pressure...not the maximum. And making sure you have the right pressure for the load range of the tire...not just the size.

My placard specs 115 front and 95 rear. My coach rides like a buck board with those pressures. The chart for my actual weight specs 80 rear and 85 front...I use 90 all around and the ride is 10x better.
