Help please - no power steering pressure
91 Fleetwood bounder Chevy P30.
Have no pressure in power steering. No leak, no air in fluid, no milky look to fluid. Components work when no load on wheels.
Please; any advice would be very greatly appreciated as this RV is for people in need and who are in a bad spot.
Thank you

If is has been sitting for a while, there many be a valve stuck in the steering unit or pressure regulator in the pump. Get it into a safe position then have someone turn the steering wheel while you use a small hammer or large wrench to tap firmly several times on the steering unit then the base of the pump. It may shock the valve into moving.
Failing that, a pressure gauge will tell if it is the pump or the unit so you know what to replace.
Hope that fixes it .

P.S. You did check the belt and that the pulley is actually turning the shaft of the pump?

There is no belt. It is hydro boost system.

K, I found it. Thought that didn't sound right. I haven't been doing the work. It isn't making noise and is spinning. I'm thinking it may be valve. The power steering pump usually squeaks when it is going out.

If it's a hydro boost set up you'll have no power brakes if pump fails.
The same pump is for steering and power brakes

Yeah, there seems to be no power brakes either as the pedal doesn't change when cracked after pressure is built. But the pump isn't squeaking. Could it be a valve?

.... Without checking pump PSI, it's a crapshoot. How ever, since brakes & steering are out, I'd place my bet on the pump.
Have you tried to raise engine RPM while turning the wheel?
I'm not remembering if there's a serviceable valve you can check, the system uses a spool-valve that's inside the booster.... Here's some information:

Disconnected line from pump to gearbox. Turned over engine. Fluid pressure did not change. After much effort I was able to remove pump which had spun shaft completely off. This is why there was no whine and pulley was spinning. Waiting g in pump to come in. Thanks, everyone for your help. If I get stuck again I will post.
peace
