Help with Monitor Panel

One week into a three week trip. I was replacing my LP detector yesterday and shorted out the leads. The LP detector lost power as did the Carbon Monoxide detector and also the Monitor Panel. Found a blown fuse (3 amp) and replaced. Got the detectors back but not the Monitor Panel except the batt test for Aux batt works now. can not find a fuse anywhere for the panel. 2004 (early, 30 amp) Pace Arrow. Last week of trip is without sewer hook up so I do need to monitor the tanks. Thanks for any help.

Do you have a MFG name on panel or name & panel number? Have you dropped panel to look behind it for fusing.

Yes dropped it yesterday and did not see anything obvious. Had the kids here today and am traveling tomorrow. Hope I can drop it tomorrow afternoon. Will see if I can find a fuse on the board. The only thing on the front of the panel is "KIB", this may be the manufacturer and a number "PN-C07-0362.

Pulled it out again and no fuses or anything to help with the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Pete

If the Battery Test Led's are lighting then you have power to the monitor panel. You probably need a new panel. KIB is still in busuness KIB Enterprises - Monitor Panels I added a monitor panel outside in the water bay http://cid-ae67fff392766057.photos.l...Plumbing%20Bay and they were very helpfull over the phone. Call and see if they can help you find the problem.
800-250-7051.

There a good company to do business with.

Thanks Dick. I found them on line this morning and was about to give them a call when you posted. I will call them and see what they have to say. The only batt that I can test is the Aux, no main. The pump, Slides and Aux switches work all else is dead. The only thing I got back after replacing the blown fuse was the Aux batt test. Will let you know what they say.

Looking at some of the diagrams, you have changed the fuse whats left is the ground from each item you want to display. Each item has a ground if its your tanks I'd look for a open ground for them they must come back to common point.
House batteries may be the only battery level tested not chassis battery.
Your dash board display would have chassis battery level.
Thanks for the links, Dick.

I am having a problem also with the tank monitors. They were working just fine until I replaced one of the rocker switches. Now none of them work. Checked every fuse I could find, all good. Checked the plug for the panel, no power. Anyone know if there is a fuse for this panel, or is it something else? 2002 Bounder 36U. Thanks!

Hi Pete & Linda, today I unplugged the panel and used a different VOM meter and do have power to the plug. Plugged it back in and have voltage at each switch. Still doesn't work. May be time to replace it or repair it if possible. I check the fuses with the ohm meter, probes in the tiny holes, without removing them. Did I lose ground to the panel by removing it and putting it back in, or is it grounded in the plug?

okiervers when you check the fuse with the VOM meter are you checking it with the meter on voltage or ohm? It is probably grounded thru the plug.
