Your correct, if someone leaves the coach and shuts off the battery cutoffs, then the next day you come out and stick the key in and turn it on, it does override the switches and everything comes on. However, in this case, nobody shut them off in the first place so its still a mystery. Now I did get some further information that was held back from me do to my son not wanting to get in trouble. About a month ago, I bought him new batteries for his ram 3500 cummins pickup. Turns out, he had left something on in his truck and it was dead the next morning (thats the part dad would be upset about as Im a battery maintenance freak). Anyhow, unbeknownst to me, he had used the motorhome to jumpstart his truck right before this all started happening sooooo........Im thinking that had something to do with it, just not quite sure what.

gremlins

Gremlins! We had the same type of thing happen, but to our Onan generator. When we stopped for coffee on a hot day, the generator would not start. The generator error code indicated that the 'stop/prime' switch was being pressed too long. With lots of checking the wiring, etc, I noticed that the extra length of the wire loom that comes out of the generator (left lower side, 5500 watt unit) that goes to the cockpit switch was tie-wrapped very extremely tight. It was very neat, but way too tight. So with the tie-wraps cut, didn't see any of the wires being exposed thru the wire insulation. I left the tie-wraps off, and to this day, the generator has worked just perfectly. So my theory is that the engine heat caused the one control lead to short to an adjacent ground lead which would key the 'stop/prime' function.

So mojoracing, just maybe a possibly, the same thing may have occurred to your wiring loom that connects to the battery disconnect switches. The switch when pressed, places a ground on a lead that does the controlling. And a normal function of the BCC is that both disconnects are turned on when the ignition switch is turned on. And that BCC function would also explain what computerguy notices at the dealer.

Edit- whoops, my internet was down a day, did not read the last few posts.

IMO it was caused by a loose connection. Been their experienced that. I found mine on a battery cable terminal block on the firewall. The engine would start but when put in gear, engine died and would not restart for an hour or more, then it would repeat the process again and again.
We sat in that rest area for 6 hours until I finally traced down the loose connection(post nut) by following pos cables.

Ray,In - Hopefully you dabbed some Loktite Blue onto the post before torquing down the nut. Or maybe using a double nut to prevent it from loosening up again.
