I was out for the first time in my '06 39S this season a couple of weeks ago and noticed that the hot water was not as hot as the prior season. The hot water was on electric as that is all I typically use.
Last year when showering I would have to adjust both the hot and cold water however, this time out I only put the hot on when showering and it was only warm.
I did check the outside shower faucets and they were both off. Someone mentioned this as a potential solution to the problem.

I've found, and have also heard from others, that when on electric it takes much longer for the water heater to heat up compared to when it's on propane. Somewhere I also read when you want to have the water heat recover quicker turn on both electric and propane.

Other than a bad thermostat, you also might want to check the posistion of your by pass valves. I had the same problem a couple weeks ago and believe that one of the valves is letting cold water mix with my hot water line.
I contacted Atwood yesterday and was informed by them that my particular model has had problems with the mixing valve. The repair will be done under warranty once I return from my Memorial Weekend trip. In the mean time I may tap on it a bit to see if I can free it up.
Thanks for everyone's assistance with my problem and I'll keep you posted.
