Hot water tank not producing

Hello Folks, I'm troubleshooting my hot water tank and have hit a brick wall. The heater ain't heating no more. It died about two weeks ago, I've replaced the thermal cut off and the circuit board. When I go to use the gas it blows the fuse each time and when I try just the electric it dose not get hot either. We used the electric while in the park and gas when traveling. I haven't been able to find where it may be grounding out at if that is it. I'm not trying to put anymore money in it, our RV is now totaled compliments of the one that burned to the ground beside us (3 WKs ago). The heat was so intense it melted all the insulation in the walls, shattered the windows on the slide and even melted the complete side of one AC cover/shroud on the roof. I just want to get the wife hot water for a few days till they tow this one off. The park showers are not keep up very well so, not an option. Any ideas would be of great assistance.

Sounds like an atwood gc10A-4e model

Uses common DC for electric and gas

Electric...12VDC white wire from on/off switch to circuit board
12VDC Brown wire from Board to t-stat/thermal fuse back to board
Red wire from board to/thru ECO ----millivolts
*n0 millivolts ---no DC on Yellow wire
12VDC Yellow wire from board to DC Relay which closes and allows 120VAC to element
**DC Relay/element on backside of WH Tank under the protective cover
Bad power track...no millivolt signal to/thru ECO
Bad DC Relay
Bad AC wiring to/from that relay
Bad element

2A fuse on board has to be good for electric to work

Gas...blowing that fuse?
Then Valve Track on board is shorted.
No need to diagnosis/fix/repair cause you are going to get rid of RV

Follow the DC circuit from switch to DC relay
Check the AC to/from Relay to element
Check the element

Thanks Biscuit. Info I needed. Temps here still flirting with triple digits so we'll be fine without the hot water heater till we get our new bounder. The wife is now understanding. Great diagnostics for the future also. The new one will have the same Atwood. Thanks again.
