How is this for a restored headlight??

Example of restored 2006 Fleetwood headlight

Sorry I don’t have a “Before” photo, but they started out as very hazy.
First sanding with 600 sandpaper produced a brown residue as the first layer was sanded down.

Then 1500 followed by 2000 grit.
Then we used “Mothers Scratch Remover”.

The last step was a sealer that was left over in a Sylvania Headlight Restore kit.
Next time I will use Krylon Clear UV protector.

As you can tell, the lens looks good as new.
I expect it to last several years with the UV sealant .

Regards,

Dan

After doing the sanding/polishing on UTube there is a video on using Rustoleum Clear UV resistant non yellowing rattle can from Walmart to stop further oxidation/yellowing.
My 07 Accord started loosing the outer coating even after many waxings, but now is painted and very clear again. I put it on my 15 Discovery too.
