I can hear a relay clicking under my dash when I turn the parking lights on and off and the same relay clicking when I depress the button.
I climbed up under the dash but see no relay. Reaching up to the headlight switch and turning the parking lights on/off I still hear the clicking but it sounds like it's on the firewall outside behind the hood.
I went outside to take a look but find NO relay! I will wait till the DW gets up and I'll have her cycle the switch while I'm outside and see if I can locate the relay.
I'll report back with my findings. Now you got me wondering where my relay is! LOL

The manufacturer relay part number is VF4-15F11-S01. Researching that, it is a Tyco relay no longer available. Neither REV technical support or the parts dept. can provide a good part number.

Open this document, do a search for your part number, you will find it at the bottom of page 25. Page 25 is the suitable substitute.

@CaptKen1 since you seen to have located all the parts of the system, would you mind listing where you located each of the pertinent components in the rig?

I have the same issue in my 2003 discovery, and am just about to start looking for the issue...

Thank you!

It's a Hella lighting catalog, see page 25

I do not have a part number for the relay as it was replaced by a third party.

Today I verified the part numbers on the relays in the vehicle. They are different then the part numbers on the schematics. The relay part numbers in my 2017 Pace Arrow 35M are 896H-1CH-C-R1 U03. This relay is widely available. I can see where someone was in there before me and used a cheap Chinese relay without the resistor across the coil. But it did not fix my problem.

The OP has me scratching my head! I can hear a relay clicking under the dash when turning on the parking lights and pressing the ICC but for the life of me I can't locate it! I think I'll give it one more try and locate that relay!

Since you guys have been digging into this, any of you have a proper pay number for the ICC switch? Mine is hanging up mechanically.

My running lights issue is fixed. It was caused by a faulty rear Power Control Module. Fixed free as a recall by Freightliner. Go to their site and enter your VIN to see if you have any recalls.

I did a lot of trouble shooting and wasted money on parts that did not fix it before I found out about the recall. This is the ICC switch in my unit. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...D2UHNBAAC00000

Thanks for the Mouser link. I have delt with them before. Amazing stock they maintain. I will keep that in my records.

Do you have a link for the VIN lookup?

ICC Switch not working correctly

Gentlemen:

I purchased a 2002 Discovery a little over a month ago. Among the electrical issues that I've since repaired, the ICC switch was one of the more perplexing ones. Thanks to all of you who posted in this thread, and for pointing me in the right direction. Below is a short synopsis of the problem and the fix.

I had 12v entering the ICC switch on the black/red wire and 12v leaving the switch (when activated) on the orange wire. My assumption was that the orange wire fed 12v to a relay, which turned out to be correct. On my coach, I located the well hidden relay, along with six other relays in a large wire bundle to the right of the throttle/brake pedals almost in the middle of the coach.

The ICC relay plug will have 2-black wires, 1-orange, 1-red/black and 1- black/white. The relay is a Bosch 12v, 20/30 A, 5 pin, part#0 332 209 159, as are the other six in the bundle.

In my case, the relay simply wasn't completely seated in the plug. I seated the relay in the plug and the ICC switch worked perfectly! By far, the cheapest repair I've made on this coach.

I'll attempt to attach some pics for location and wiring reference.

Thanks again guys!!!
