Insturment Panel Access

2004 American Eagle. Burnt out turn signal bulb needs replacement. How do I gain access? It is too tight to reach up under there.

Your cockpit looks much like mine and with mine, I unscrew and remove the clamshell cover from behind the dash panel. Access is from the back then.

Thanks, Jim. Right you are! Although I didn't see anything to unscrew, the clamshell connects by friction on mine. And the light was not burned out but rather pulled out of the socket. What a bag of snakes in there!

I know! As a professional, I cringed when I saw how badly the wiring was behind there. If I worked for one of these RV manufacturers I could save them millions just by making the wire dressing better and routing more efficient. Not to mention making it easier for repairs.

After several tries, I still haven't found my 4-way flasher module. It's stuffed somewhere in Winnie's huge bundle of covered wires somewhere under there. What a mess.

It really is poorly done. No wonder my speedometer doesn't work!
