Insulation for doghouse on Bounder

We have a 2007 Bounder. Gas engine. It is noisy and want to insulate the underside of the doghouse cover. Any ideas on how to safely do it?

There are so many options... you need to get a game plan together 1st..
Just don't do the dog house... there is so much more area than just dog house to do..
And believe me.. once you start... you will want to do the rest..
So.. use your cell phone with camera and flash and record up under dog house.. then hold it over far rear of eng bay... then far left and right..
The eng bay.. is much bigger than just the dog house.. just watch your recording and you will be amazed..
Then.. under the hood.. use cell phone with camera and flash and record up under hood at bottom of dash.. there is nothing..
Then there is the firewall under the hood..
So.. there is far more that can be done..
Then use cellphone and record inside... inside dash.. it's a big empty box... and amplify every noise...

So there is a lot of room for improvement.. once you start.. you will find.. you will run out of sound deading mat fast... so order a lot..

What I learned.. the thicker the better.. but it can't be so thick as to interfere with anything..
I used 80mm where I should have used 320mm.. so when I found out how much the improvement was..
I had to go back in areas and go with 320mm over 80mm..
I stick with name brands and aluminized where exposed to most heat.. sometimes double that..
Then to save a buck.. off brand aluminized for rest..

So thicker better.. I cleaned and prep with alcohol cleaner.. use all safety precautions..
Buy a roller.. unless you have one..
All over rv.. you will find places to use this stuff.. so keep some on hand for future..

I just could not believe difference and 4yrs later.. still finding other places to add..
A/c box.. now colder..
So.. good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you..
Oh I just ordered mine at favorite online store.. 5 boxes dynamat and 10 boxes off brand.. still adding..
