2016 bounder 35k periodically thru out summer interior lights would not come on when door opened when we went to leave camp in October the lights did not come on and the step would not retract unhooked the steps to get to storage fuses are good any ideas ? called customer support with no ideas of what to look at is there any electrical schematic for this RV? thanks Jeff

Since the overhead lights and steps both seem controlled by the opening of the door, I'd check for a magnetic reed switch in the door frame that is often used to control steps. Sometimes the magnet comes loose or the reed switch just fails. Either could be the issue if you have such a switch.

Yes there is a schematic. Call CS and they can send it. My guess is the magnet on the door has come off. You mentioned it was a periodic problem over the summer. Fuses are not typically an intermittent problem. You also said it is the lights AND the steps. If it were just the steps I might lean to a ground issue. But the steps are controlled by the BCC/Chassis battery and the inside lights are controlled by the Multiplex/house batteries if my memory serves me right.
Lots of things to look at there.
