Since the mh has been in a rental fleet...I would have it checked by a good RV tech and also a good mechanic. I would think the rental company would have maintenance records also. If they don't it would make me believe very little if any maintenance was done. As Gary said, you would think a rental company had had the brake recall done...again paper work can prove this.
Good luck and as someone said earlier, your looking at a good time so no need to get in a hurry.

I checked with them what they want for the unit repaired and detailed. they wanted $19000 for it, which is about $3000 below the NADA low price. they did the routine maintenance, but the brake recall was not done yet. If I can get it for $15000 and can get the bumper fiberglass for a reasonable price (I have no idea what Fleetwood fiberglass parts cost, and if they are available aftermarket), we can do all the rapairs at our home and can thus safe quite some money. There are hardly any automotive jobs that we cannot do. (we could even do the brake recall without any problem).
The only body damage is the lower part of the front (bumper cover?) and the left side headlight. The cover is more or less decorative and is not connected to the interior of the unit.
if anybody can tell me where to get Fleetwood body components for a reasonable price, I would really appreciate this a lot!
