Just Joined the RV Bounder crowd

Hello from Alaska, winter is over and time to get the RV out and the first issue I run into is with my levelers. WOW!!!! I was looking for info on the power gear jacks and found your 56 pages of pain!!!! I have my work cut out for me with the right rear jack.

So thanks for all the assistance in advance. I'm still reading through the forum on the Power Gear jacks.

Welcome to irv2. I know that Power Gear thread well. What year is your Bounder and what symptoms is that rear jack displaying?

Cliff,

we have a 2007 Bounder 34F. The issue I was having was with the right rear jack not retracting. After reading a bunch of pages here on the power gear, I was able to fix my issue.
I removed the jack boot cover and checked the brake. looked good. I used a power drill and a 16mm socket and retracted the jack back up. Then ran the others up and down manually twice. and then ran all of them up and down and finally it worked for all four jacks.

I will always carry a power drill with a long extension and a 16mm socket!!!

Glad to hear it. I guess you know what to do with the boots ( silicone and hose clamps ). Best of luck.
