King Beds??

I am in the process of helping my father find his second motorhome. Right now he is looking into many of the Fleetwoods (2006-09), and is trying to find something with a King Bed. He is looking for a diesel.

I have looked at so many at this point that everything is starting to look the same. I was just wondering if anyone out there knows which ones came with a king bed, or what is the possibility of removing the queen and putting in a king bed.

Thank you in advance for the help.

I've been surprised FW is slower than other mfr's to put king beds in it's rv's. The farther back in years you go & the lower the model, the less likely to find a king. However, they're doing much better w/newer units.

Per FW's current website, these DP's have king bed options:
2009, 2010 Discovery 40G, 40K
2009, 2010 Providence & Excursion 40Q, 40T
2007 Revolution LE 42N
2008 Revolution LE 42K, 42N
2009 Revolution LE 40R, 42K 42N, 42W
2010 Revoluion LE all of them

I didn't research the American Tradition (FW's luxury line), but you can do that on their website yourself, if you are looking at any of them. More than likely, the king beds started showing in these models earlier then the other model lines & probably all of the newer models in the luxury line have king bed options.

Depending on how handy someone is, you CAN remove a queen, rip out the side tables & put in a king as long as you have at least a 72 inch (the width of a king bed) wide bedroom slide out.

I would consider replacing any existing mattress with a NEW king, which means measuring the width between the so-called "night stands" to make sure a king would fit. I did this with my current MH right after I bought it (came with a queen), and the king fits perfectly. And I didn't have to tear anything apart. I mean, in the larger picture of choosing the right MH, with all the options out there, eliminating a nice choice because of mattress size might not optimize the best choice. Take a tape with you when shopping? Just my 2 cents....

Are you sticking with Fleetwood or are you open to other brands?
