Discovery: KVH TracVision R5SL

I'm looking for a replacement dome for my KVH TracVision R5SL. Any help on where to find one new or used would be appreciated.

The satellite dome on my 08' Discovery flew off while heading south on I95. Anyone have an idea of where to get a replacement? It's a KVH TracVision R5SL.

I needed one also and found one somewhere, but the freight was more than the dome!

I think KVH will tell you the R5SL is obsolete and ought to be replaced with a newer model rather than finding a used one somewhere. Ought to be some of them in RV salvage yards, though.


Is the actual dome the only part you need? I think the R4SL used the same dome part.
