Kwikee Steps working backwards

My kwikee steps just started acting very weird. They have decided to extend when the motor is running.

We open the door steps slide out, we get inside close the door steps retract. Start the engine, steps extend. As we can't drive with the steps extended, I had to unplug them while retracted and climb into the RV.

Anyone else run into something like this?

Make sure the switch on your door jam is clean and working properly.

Also double check the dash switch for the step.

Switch

The switch on the door and dash work correctly as long as the engine is off. The problem only occurs when I start the engine. Otherwise the steps work normally
