Lippert Travel Lock Leaking when full wall slide is extended

Hi, we have a 2015 Fleetwood Discovery 40E with a full wall slide on the drivers side. The FW slide incorporates Lippert Travel Locks on both ends, that deploys a secure locking metal arm against the inside wall when retracted for travel. I had a wind storm take the cover plate off one of the locks when the slide was out, and then it began to leak rain water in the storm. I later called Fleetwood to describe the issue and they sold me a replacement cover plate, which they said to simply reattach with four screws and all would be good. Well, on a recent vacation we pulled in the big slide with some A/C condensation on the slide topper, slowly to allow draining, and once the travel lock was under the "stream" of draining water, the water diverted into the Travel Lock and began to leak inside the slide overhead. Has anyone had this issue, and what would be the fix? Thx, Jeff

I have the same set up, maybe your topper needs tightening you should not have water pooling especially ac water. I don't see anyway to water proof locking arm maybe level coach different so the water runs off.

I just noticed that my slide topper is 2-3" too short on both ends, causing any water in the topper to go on top of the slide, then down into the travel lock when retracting. This slide topper was replaced by Camping World in May, so they muffed up the job by installing the wrong length topper. Back to CW to try again, what fun!!

Typical repair, topper should be a little longer it's not like they didn't have the old one to measure.

Got a 15 40E also.
Well 2 years I never knew I was suppose to have covers over the travel lock rectangular holes. Only once had water come inside.
Had full wide slide in and it got wet inside, heavy rain.
Had the travel lock break loose once, stripped out lag bolts. Ran carriage bolts thru the wall to resecure.
Got another fix coming up. Number 147

Mine has never had any covers either with no water issues. Would like to see a picture.
