Lithium Battery replacement

Has anyone switched the lead acid batteries to lithium in a 2003 Pace Arrow 36R. I am replacing the lead acid batteries with lithium lifeP04 batteries, and my question is the original wiring for the batteries go to the control box up front and then to the fuse panel in the rear bedroom. I don't know how to setup the new batteries as they also receive a charge from the alternator. I am not sure how to wire in a DC to DC converter for the lifeP04 batteries. Do I have to run new feed wire to fuse panel. any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Alby

Much depends on are you replacing 6 with 12 volt or like batteries? If you were replacing batteries with the same voltage as in all 6 volt? I would connect the same as the old bats. If your not sure what you have I would take it to a professional or post a diagram or a picture on here of what you got? You will need to change your inverter charge setting. Please post more info for a more detailed answer?

If you do like gatory says, you stand a good chance of burning up your alternator. You need to separate your lead battery bank from your lithium bank. Leave the alternator hooked to the lead and use a dc to dc charger from the lead to the lithium.

It is a quite an easy conversion IF you understand how your system works you would have to leave the cable going to the combiner off (b.I.r.d) and your house and chassis would be separated. Install the dc-dc charger as per the manufacturer instructions. If your inverter/charger is not lithium compatible it can still be used to charge the battery but you would have to monitor the charging manually a shunt based monitor would also be a necessity. You just have to know and understand your system. I have done the same conversion and it has been a flawless experience. You have to be able to turn on and off the inverters charge cycle manually and monitor the charging if plugged into shore power
