Cool Loss 12 volts to thermostat and water heater

2009 Fleetwood Tiouga 30U. Fuses and voltage OK at power supply panel, but thermostat and water heater ignition are dead. Other 12 volt lights & appliances work. Suspect a loss ground connection but I don't know where to look. Help would be appreciated. (I am new to this irv.)

To see if it truly is a bad ground, I'd use a jumper wire from a known good ground to connect directly to the water heater and thermostat. If they then work, you can either pursue the search for the bad connection or just string a new ground wire to replace the bad one. Unfortunately builders of RVs don't often make all connections in accessible spaces so it might take more work to find it than to run a new wire.

I had the same issue with my brother in laws TT. I jumped it and found a bad circuit and it was easier to run a new wire than to track it down through the wall to find the break.

I have isolated the problem to the connection for 12 volts to the thermostat. I have a bad wire or connection someplace between the converter output and the thermostat. Taking it to the shop tomorrow.

Usually the converter output (and house battery) connect through a 12 v fuse panel.

If it is an Atwood water heater, there is a green ground wire at the top center when looking at the outside access panel. It is often problematic.
