Low propane pressure.

In my 2008 Discovery 40x we seldom use the cook stove, opting to use convection microwave instead. We do keep refrigerator on LP while travaling. I noticed the fridge was flashing ck LP on the last short trip to lake. Once plugged in the fridge was back to cooling so I didn't worry. Now a few days later we decided to cook something on stove top. Very low flame! Even when turned on high.

Monitor shows LP is full, which it should be, cause I had just had it filled a few months back. Emergency shutoff switch was turned on.
Not sure where else to check for trouble.

Help!

Yes, one large, full, tank somewhere under the bellie of the coach. Will crawl under once I get home where I have a smooth floor and a creeper to ride on. Thanks!

Sounds like the regulator, though it may be a result of contamination (oil in the LP tank). Easy enough to replace once you get access to it. It's a standard LP regulator - nothing "RV" about it. Most systems have a two-stage regulator rather than the simpler single stage found on BBQ grills, but its the same gas pressure and fittings.

Try closing the valve ,kinda snug, and listen for a faint click , excess flow valve might be shut......keep it closed for 15 seconds or so, then crack open slowly , if to fast it will snap shut again.

Sounds like a regulator. Invest in an LP gas manometer https://www.amazon.com/Dwyer-Pressur...gateway&sr=8-9 or the like and add a few fittings so you can hook up your regulator to an LP picnic bottle. You can then check your regulator directly and adjust it's pressure directly. Well worth the approx $50 cost. I've had 3 regulators go bad on the last 2 RV's and it saved me much $ paying for troubleshooting or blindly changing boards, valves or fittings.

Thanks for the replays. I'll be home next week where I can get a closer look at the tank. Hard to tell much about it on one knee and on gravel. Now I'll know where to start. Tryed the two things I know, 1) Turning Emergency switch off then on. 2) Calling it names!

Neither worked!
