Lp gas system

Hi, I need assistance, I've got a 1999 Fleetwood southwind Storm 32y, we want to use a Campco Extend a Stay type system, here is the problem my system doesn't look like others I've seen.

I'm wondering if someone has already modified my LP system? see pics.. Thank you for any help you can give me.

It looks like it has one already. The drop down would go to cooker or pit. It looks to be before the regulater so no modifying cooker.

Right, what I want to do is instead of having to close up and pull in my slide to drive and get an LP fill, I just want to get a 20lb LP tank and use that for my motor home LP. Will the existing setup do that.

You appear to have a connection that likely came with two hoses. One to hook up BBQ and the other to connect an external tank.

It does not appear you can do both at the same time unless there is a custom hose.

Ok that's what I was thinking, I will have to get the Campco system I guess, I'm stationary til Labor day and didn't want to have to close down my rig for an LP fill.

IAG-

The piping you have will work, with the correct adapters and hoses.

You could also replace it with the Camco unit and hoses. It means more labor, but may cost about the same as adapting what you have. When you are done you’ll have a setup that is more common, and one hose each for input and output.

I don’t see two connections. I see one and a shutoff valve above it. This is a home made setup. It will work with a grill as long as it has a built in regulator on the grill. You can also hook up a portable tank to it.

What I see looks like that connection is on the high side of the regulator If you hook to that it would be unregulated. But that is where Extend- A - stay hooks. so the next problem is the connectors. I would just buy a GASPRO 12-Foot Propane Extension Hose with Gauge, Include 100lb POL Tank Adapter, Flexible Gas Line for RV, Gas Grill, Stove, Heater, Fire Pit from Amazon and that should do everything you need just connect and turn on. a lot cheaper too just $30 and tax

Buy a short hose with male POL fittings on both ends.

Hook it up to the tanks and open the valve.Click image for larger version
