M4 LED Replacements-Discovery 40e

Hello,
Has anybody found out if these LED bulbs work with the Fleetwood dimmer switches? Hate to order just 1 for testing....

As well, has anyone replaced those ugly wall sconses on either side of the bed? I keep hitting my head on mine.
Rgds/Brian

Brian--on their website, the product descriptions usually indicate whether the particular bulb works with a dimmer. You can also shoot them an email; they are very responsive. (And I guess you know about the RVGEEKS5 code for 5% off your order.)

Hi Sarah,

I called him and he couldn't guarantee they would work with FW dimmers. I thought you might be "Discovering" new worlds in 2015 models! They come with LED's....

I have to get our 2012 model exactly like I want it before I consider a trade!! (And yeah, the new models always have stuff to make us want to upgrade...sigh.) Hopefully someone else can answer your dimmer question. (Or you will have to spring for one bulb and try it out. )

Are your bedroom lights similar to these....?? We don't have any head-bumping issues so haven't thought about changing them.

Yes, just like those, except mine are mounted on the back wall. We always wait until it is just right, in for 1st service....then trade up.

Well, we're at 2 1/2 years with the Bounder and still enjoying it. Since it spends 95% of its life in storage, I guess there's no reason for us to pay $$$ for a Discovery.

At least right now.

My Excursion has the puck lights and the rotary dimmer switches from Fleetwood. I changed out all my G4 halogens for LED's and they work with the dimmer switch.

I hope they brighten up the coach, cause the halogens just don't cut it.

I just replaced all of the interior lighting in my 2011 Discovery with LED's from M4. Not all of their lights work with Fleetwood dimmers. If you buy the "minis" for your puck lights they will work. The larger replacements for your puck lights may or may not work with your dimmers. M4 is working on a new larger LED that will have universal dimming capabilities but it may be a few months before they are available. I ordered the "mini" replacements for my puck lights in CW (cool white) and they are more than bright enough. Now that I have them installed I would order them again over the larger replacements. Not only are the bright enough and dimmable, the are much easier to install due to their size. Just my $0.02

Hey Jim28730, can you tell me the part number of the "mini's" that work with dimmers. I would also like to change puck lights in our 40E.

The number is G4-5630-Side-CW for the Cool White replacements. If you think the cool white is too bright (look on website for color comparison), you can order Natural White or Warm White. The last two letters of the stock number indicate the color (CW-NW-WW). I like the intensity of the cool white and of course they can be dimmed.
