Making copies of keys for 2011 Fleetwood Storm

Do the keys for the ignition of my 2011 Fleetwood Storm (F53 chassis) have one of those "chipped" keys that are expensive to make copies of? Or can I just go to the local Home Depot and have them made straight up?

Most of the places around here that make keys have key readers they insert your key into and the machine will tell you if the key is or isn't a chip key. They also have blanks which the machine will program so the store can duplicate your key.
Most of these keys are lower priced than buying from a dealer but not always. It pays to shop.

Not likely chip. Another thought: if you ever have a gathering of fellow Storm owners, have several of them try their keys on your coach. You may be surprised at what you learn.

Someone once told me Fleetwood uses one of the same six keys for the door on storage bays. Experience has shown that a number of friends have keys that work interchangeably. I believe that only the bolt lock in your entry door is rarely matched, but even that one I'm not certain of.

The storage keys being mostly interchangeable doesn't surprise me. I think those locks are just there to keep the "casual thief" out anyway : )

Has Fleetwood changed or is the storage key still the same one used for the regular door lock? The Discovery also has a separate bolt lock...is it the same on the Storm and other coaches?

If you're asking me......not sure. I haven't had an occasion to lock the door yet from the outside. The storage keys are small silver keys though. I think I have two or three other keys with a plastic head manufactured on them. Those I believe are for the door locks and the ignition.

Your ignition key is not chipped. If you have baggage doors, your main door lock and baggage doors will be the same. If you have compartment doors (hatches) they will most likely be "751" keys. Your deadbolt will be keyed differently.
