Microwave bracket issue
Have any of the Bounder owners seen this problem? My convection/wave (cw) oven, over the range, is mounted to a steel "L" bracket that is riveted to the ceiling of the slide. The CW oven is bolted to the bracket. One end of the ceiling bracket is pulling away from the ceiling. Anyone have any knowledge of composition the slide ceiling in that area? Could I replace the loose rivets with sheet metal screws?

I do not know the composition of the slide but would suspect they riveted into a brace or channel, but if it pulled out, chances of using a screw would be slim as the rivet would have created a large hole in the channel? Could you move the bracket one direction or another to create a new hole? Even then I would suspect the bouncing weight would pull a screw through too.
Typically the slides are not to thick, maybe you could run a bolt from the top of the slide? Use a large 'fender' washer on the topside for strength and seal it up.
Good luck

In my case on my 2016 the micro mounts direct to the horizontal piece. My galley is also the slide.
The horizontal piece, in picture, is mounted to a piece of about 1" square tubing with self-tapping screws which I think is part of the slide frame. The screws were likely over tightened (another habit of FW) so they work loose.
What I did the first time is to install a rivnut, AKA a Blind Insert Nut, in the tubing. It worked but I apparently didn't get it installed correctly and they started to fail sometime later on our fine roads.
Second go around I removed the MW completely allowing better access, did the rivnut again, plus added folding support legs to the MW using a two pieces of about 1" aluminum angel, mounted to the MW by removing and replacing the screws in the MW cabinet and legs out of some polished aluminum with cane tips on the end so not to score the counter. Piece of Velcro to hold them up while parked.
As it turns out the Wife doesn't put them up while parked. Bonus is that one leg kinda holds the coffee maker and air fryer in place while traveling.
Hope it gives some ideas.
Back story is that during the test drive the salesman spent most of the time holding the MW as he was panicked it was going to launch. Dealer shop "repaired" it before delivery.

You could add the support from the bottom as suggested, but topside you need to determine, from this forum or maybe the manufacturer, where the structure ribs are. If this area is not seen, then maybe open up some of the ceiling.
You could spin the vertical support 180 degrees and move the horiz. piece inward and re-rivet it. (If the ribs run across the RV)

Oldweb, You pointed out my first question when I saw this problem, not knowing the makeup of the structure the rivets clench into. REV hasn't been much help. I'll keep at it. TY

The first time I did which is why I think it failed. The second time I cut the headliner out for about an inch around the hole.
