Hello everyone. My wife and I just purchased a 1999 40’ American Eagle, ENS floor plan. We’re very happy because it’s been garage kept since inception with 70k mikes on it. We’d love to replace the tv in the master and was looking for input. If I remove the whole wooden structure that holds the old crt tv, is it possible to set a mount there or on the opposite wall on the other side of the pocket door? Thank you for your help.

Take the wooden face frame and attach a piece of plywood to the back side of it to make a cabinet face. Put some cabinet door hinges on it and turn it into a cabinet. Mount the new flat-screen on the face of the new cabinet.

That’s basically what the previous owner of ours did and used a mount that swivels out and around, but that wasn’t really necessary as we usually just leave it alone.

On the front TV he had a cabinet maker turn the Samsung smart TV itself into a door by fitting wood behind it very nicely and it looks factory. Buy the most current smart TV’s you can afford so they won’t be obsolete so quickly.

Congratulations on buying what you will find to be a great coach. Post some pics!

Tv makeover

Figured out the pic submission. I’m not sure if I have the same space as yours. I pulled the front facing cabinet face off for picture.

Yes. Take a piece of plywood and cut it a bit smaller to fit behind the old wood face. Reinstall the old face with 2 hinges on one side to make it a cabinet door also add a latch. Then get a TV mount and mount it on the new plywood. I'd opt for a swiveling one that you can position for better bed viewing. Now you have a storage space and a nice TV.

Great! Appreciate that. Would a 32” fit ok? I’d measure but the coach is a couple hours away where we store it. Really enjoying this group. Y’all are great.

Yes a 32” will fit fine. That’s what ours is.
