MPG for class C Fleetwood question

My first RV is a 1988 Fleetwood Jamboree 26S, 460 engine with a C6 trans, NO OVERDRIVE. This is a beast, runs great on flat surfaces, but hills and any sort of a incline are a struggle on the engine. Now I am looking to upgrade to a 2000 or newer Class C Fleetwood Jamboree or Tioga with a V10 engine in the next six months. My question, how many MPG's should I expect to obtain with the OVERDRIVE transmission? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

So many variables come into play to predict mileage. What speed do you drive? How loaded is your RV? What type of terrain? Front profile/wind resistance? Wind speed and direction? All these factors play into MPG. A V10 might provide better mileage, but not much improvement over your 460.

I have a 2000 30 ft C, with a 99 V10. It has the 4 speed OD transmission

Towing a Kia Soul on a dolly, I see 8.2 mpg on the Scan Gauge II, while cruising on the highway at 60 MPH.

I haven't done the actual and more accurate, miles traveled to gallons used, check in a while.

Before the Scan Gauge, it worked out to somewhere around 7.5 MPG, going down the east coast.
