My wipers turn on my bright lights

We have just bought our Discovery and already had a problem with the inverter wired backwards, but we got that fixed on our trip back home from picking it up. Now we have noticed that if we are driving with our headlights on and need to turn on the windshield wipers, it turns on our bright lights. To get the bright lights off we have to turn the wipers off then turn the lights on and off a couple times until it goes back to the normal lights. Then the next time we use the wiper it starts all over again. Now I guess I have to fine a place close by here that can fix it. Got to love breaking in a new MH.

The toggle switch for the light is on the left side of the dash and the wipers are on the right side steering wheel control.
