need a new mattress
i need a new mattress in the motorhome. I am looking at a hybrid but I can only go 10 inches thick because it has to slide under a cabinet when slide is in. Anybody tried a hybrid or are there better options.

I put 12 inch memory foam, they make 10 inch.

I like hybrids better than the memory foam types, but mattress choice is a highly personal thing. I use a hybrid mattress at home.

I put a 12" one in, most of the time I help it under the cabinets, but I suspect the slide mech is plenty strong enough to squish a small amount of the mattress. Mine is a foam/coil, but I think most would fit. I own a Murphy Bed retail store, so I really couldn't just leave the 6" "luxury" mattress in place knowing I had a couple of dozen real nice ones across town.

In my situation I ended up getting the tallest that would fit under the cabinet- however it wasn't as soft as I wanted so I put a topper on it. When I pull in the slide, I just fold back the bottom 1/3 of the topper so it slides under without any issue.

Heres a link to Mattress insider ...
https://www.mattressinsider.com/
They have a RV mattress section with all the RV sizes even for bunk beds and fold out couches. Then you can pick the comfort level and 10-inch thickness you want.
They can even make the rounded corners if you need that too.
Also do a search "mattress by size" and it will show you all of them they offer in the size you are looking for.
We are on our third RV installing their mattress' and have been very happy with each one.
Good Luck

I have a Sealy in my '16 35K now. I am looking for a new one as this is 7+ years old. I like firm and going with Brooklyn Bedding Plank. It is 11.75" My current is 11" so I don't see it being an issue. The current one slides easily under the wardrobe.

Look at the zinus mattresses on Amazon. There are awesome. Slightly warmer than a conventional is the only drawback for some. The thicker you go the firmer they are

I have been very happy with these:
Zinus Deluxe Memory Foam 10 Inch RV / Camper / Trailer / Truck Mattress, Short Queen
Very reasonable price also.
Good luck!

Bought a Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Queen for our Southwind 34A. It needs an inch or so squeezing to go under wardrobes, but does it on its own. Bought medium density as we’re side sleepers at salesperson guidance. Awesome!

Here's another vote for Brooklyn Bedding mattresses. We have two in the stick house and had one in the previous RV as well.

I got the Brooklyn Bedding in Olympic Queen size. If you have a queen size mattress in your RV, you can most definitely fit the extra 6 inches and it is like half-way between Queen and CalKing. I like firm, so I got their thinnest possible option (6 inches) and it is very comfy.
